Our Mission

Project Inclusion has a mission to expand its wings within the country and outside. To bridge the gap between the state resource teachers and school teachers and implement the Individual Educational Plan (IEP) in the education system in response to the case studies of the children who face Learning Difficulties.

Sambhrant Sharma

Director, Education, Sri Aurobindo Society & Founder, Rupantar

Mr. Sambhrant Sharma is the Director Education, Sri Aurobindo Society and founder of ‘Rupantar', India’s largest education transformation and teacher-first social innovation platform, spread across 31 States and Union Territories of India; creating a network of more than 2 million trained teachers and thousands of education officers for bringing qualitative improvement in education via various initiatives.

Dr Simmi Mahajan

CHRO & Head, Project Inclusion, Rupantar, Sri Aurobindo Society

Dr Simmi Mahajan has been contributing to the health and education industry for over 30 years. She's experienced in Health Education, Mental health training, and provide counselling for parents and teachers. With expertise in human resources management and fostering leadership, Dr Mahajan strives to develop responsible workforces with a noble aim. Among the many initiatives of SAS' Rupantar, Dr Simmi Mahajan heads the Project Inclusion, which aims to empower school teachers all over the country to identify and support children with Learning Difficulties. Under the leadership and guidance of Dr. Mahajan, The project is actively working across 14 states and Union Territories and has trained over 20,000 teachers and special educators.

Dr Bhuvana Vasudevan

Founder, Bridges Learning Vidyalaya, Pondicherry

Social entrepreneur and professional academician. Double Doctorate in psychology & Special Education, and has more than 25+ years of experience. Dr Vasudeven is the principal of Bridges Learning Vidyalay, Pondicherry.

Abbas Jainuddin

Manager - Administration at Blind W elfare Council, Dahod Gujarat; Trustee in Special Olympics Bharat Gujarat

Lecturer of special education programs for students with intellectual disabilities, multiple disability, hearing and visual impairment, vocational training. Mr Kharodawala is also the Trustee and Growth & Development Manager at Special Olympics Dahod, Mahisagar, Gujarat

Usha Chaujer

Educator (Inclusive and Remediation)

An educator and independent consultant, Ms Usha Chaujer has over 40 years of experience in developing and implementing innovative strategies for teaching children with learning disabilities in mainstream education. She has been a civil society activist fighting for the rights of people living with disabilities - an active member of Disability Rights Group

Bringing the pioneers of inclusive education to transform mainstream education.

"Project Inclusion (PI) addresses the core issue of identifying the ‘hidden disability’ of the child and bringing inclusion in the classrooms through behavior modification and reinforcement techniques. It has a deep rooted approach focused towards sensitizing and empowering teachers towards inclusive education to reduce dependence on special education and resource teachers.”
